We know the park intimately, and we are happy to sit with you and go over the map of Yellowstone and make recommendations about “must see” stops, sights, or hikes (as well as the best places to spot wolves, bears, waterfalls, etc.). We look forward to sharing our appreciation and love for this area with our guests

In addition to the amazing proximity to Yellowstone National Park, there are many, many other fun activities in the Silver Gate and Cooke City area.
Hiking along the creek or to one of the three area waterfalls, horseback riding, 4-wheeling, fishing, animal watching, touring the 11,000 foot scenic Beartooth Highway, kayaking or canoeing the beautiful Beartooth lakes, visiting local restaurants and gifts shops, and the Cooke City Mining Museum, birding, visiting a firetower, mountain biking, tubing on the creek next to the house, rock-hounding (petrified wood!), driving the breathtaking Chief Joseph Highway to the historic town of Cody, WY and taking in a rodeo, river rafting, or visiting the world-class Buffalo Bill Cody Museum... or simply relaxing on the deck with a good book and watching the creek go by. The cabin has maps and guidebooks as well as games for kids and adults.

Jill and Greg are retired science teachers who have lived in the area for 18 years. After retiring, we built Creekside at Yellowstone. We purchased our own cabin in Silver Gate 1998 and spent every summer and our holidays exploring the Yellowstone ecosystem with our two children.
