Very quiet cul de sac lane in the village of Soudley surrounded by the Forest of Dean. Great wild life, and ideal for walking, biking, fishing etc. The cottage is between the Severn estuary and the Wye. The Dean Heritage Centre is a five minute walk away. The local pub serves well kept cheap beer.
The garden is not overlooked and has several terraces with garden furniture , and a bar b q. There is off street parking for two cars in the front of the cottage.

The log burner makes the living room very warm quickly. The oil central heating heats the whole house and water. The shower is electric. There is a tumble dryer and the usual kitchen equipment including a dishwasher and coffee maker and induction hob. The fire will be made up for the first fire with additional logs. After that guests should supply their own.
No shoes upstairs please. The forest footpaths can be very muddy.
There are bee hives at the very bottom of the garden. In the top two levels you would not even know that they are there.
A complimentary pot of honey is given to all guests.
One dog is welcome but not upstairs. We keep to that rule ourselves.
Allergy sufferers should note that we have a cat that goes everywhere it likes.
I work for the Open University as a law teacher. My partner is an accountant. We have an Irish Terrier and Burmese Cat. I keep bees but don't worry they are not in the back yard. I am keen on cricket and rugby, and both like all types of music.
We love to travel and have stayed in Airbnb properties in Australia, and South Africa.
