Sip freshly brewed coffee in the early morning from the outdoor living spaces, gather your own vegetables from the small organic garden (when in season), or collect a few organic eggs from the farm's exotic laying hens.
The Farm was purchased in 2013 and shortly there after, began a 9 month renovation. The original part of the house was built during the Civil War and is the oldest home in the immediate area. The name Cackle Corner came years ago as this was once an egg producing Poultry Farm. The eggs from the hen houses that use to be on the property (and the old historic barn across the street) were shipped up to many restaurants and the hospitals in Atlanta many years ago.
We breed Arabian show horses and purchased the property to become home to a small group of our breeding and or young show stock. We are almost ready for a few young individuals or a few brood mares to call The Farm "home". If you're lucky, we may have a few on property during your visit along with a bushel or two of local, organic carrots for you to feed them.

Please note -----
This is the country. The wifi is via satellite (our only option). Normal web browsing and social media activity is no problem.
Due to the tin roof, the cell coverage in the house and on some parts of the property is poor. We have a house line that you can use and outside the home is fine for most coverage.
The 3rd bedroom is an OPEN LOFT/TV ROOM/BEDROOM with queen bed and sectional, but without a closed door for privacy.
Happy to help with anything to make your stay a bit more relaxing and comfortable.
All of my life I have wanted to live on a farm and have a daily connection with animals and nature, especially, Arabian horses. I held a corporate travel job for 20 years and although the experiences I had traveling the globe were incredible, I was ready to be home a bit more and fulfill my dream of owning a farm. I currently live in Midtown Atlanta and now help my partner with his real estate business
We purchased this property for the acreage to accommodate the horses and found that the old home had a cool story and was worth saving. Although a painful project to bring this old home back to her glory, it was well worth it. We hope you agree!
I look forward to connecting with people traveling through the Atlanta area and aim to make each guest experience incredible.
Thanks for checking out our little Farm. I look forward to connecting with you!
