It's a peaceful place to play and relax; walking distance to the Mount Hermon Conference Center, redwood trails and Felton downtown
Only a 10 minute drive to downtown Santa Cruz, beaches, shopping, and great eclectic restaurants. Or take the local #35 Bus to Downtown Santa Cruz at the Felton Fair Shopping Center (15 min walk)
GPS 60 Conference Dr. then turn left then right to my 22 Park Way .
Occasionally a couch surfer airline attendant will stay over. The private guest room is unaffected.
This is a largest bedroom of a two bedroom rustic cathedral ceiling house surrounded by redwoods. The bedroom has a single bed and a futon couch, small desk, dresser, and closet; It is most comfortable for one person and a few minutes walk from the Mount Hermon Conference Center. Street parking at house. Many walking trails, Roaring Camp, Henry Cowell State Park, and downtown Felton for shopping and the Covered Bridge Park are within walking distance. Downtown Santa Cruz is a 15 min drive down Graham Hill Road.
A guest will have access to the newly remodeled and fully functional kitchen, living room, multi-functional deck. Some exercise equipment is located in the front lower patio. A life coaching option is available. It is a suitable retreat for writing, painting, project development, refocusing yourself, and just resting in a beautiful place.

Goal is to give you a comfortable and peaceful Mount Hermon experience. My guests are friends that I haven't met yet. Interaction with guest is designed around guest and the host's availability. Choices have been from light interaction to a full blown life coaching session; But always remembering that you are the guest and it's your vacation/retreat to enjoy, have fun, and grow as the unique person you are.

At the present time, this space is designed to comfortably accommodate one person as a guest and no pets. Both these rules have provided a quiet space for both the guest and the host.
I encourage a minimum of two day stays like a weekend because there is so much to see and do by walking locally and in Santa Cruz a 10-15 minute drive away. Week stays work well for art, writing, goal setting, and life planning projects and general resting in a peaceful forest area. Many guests have done all of the above plus cooking and trying new things.
When the extra guest option is selected the futon is opened and made into a queen bed. I have a renter below so the evening should be kept relatively quiet. Talking in normal voices is OK in the living room.
House is on it's own septic system so we conserve what gets flushed.
Generally the house is very quiet and peaceful.
There are no pets allowed or inside smoking.
Kitchen is clean as you go. Dishes are rinsed before putting in the dish washer.
I am semi-retired and love to interact with the guests (if it works for them). There is a lot to see in this area and I can be a guide (when available) or generally offer site seeing guidance. I do art (acrylic on unfinished Masonite current project is the redwoods in this area), I cook when I am available, help people find out what they are meant to do with their life in my workshops and as a life style, and generally stay happy and appreciative.
To experience more nearby scenic opportunities, lightly guided life style and goal exploration, or quiet time for projects or art time, it maybe good to consider staying more than a single day.
I have a couple mottoes. The first is from my work at Cookery At The Cove see featured Cooking School Bon Appetit April 1979. "They come as strangers and leave as friends". And from my Christian Friend Clarence "My guests are friends that i haven't met yet."
