Whether you are soaking up the rich history of cities on the East Coast, or traveling for business, this 500-square foot private suite will accommodate you. Enjoy a small town feel yet easy access to I-95, and Baltimore, Washington, & Philadelphia.
Enjoy your private suite, situated at one end of a large home in a quiet neighborhood. This space is ideal for a single business traveler who wants some comforts of home, or a family traveling the East Coast. The room has a queen bed, but we can add a second single bed in the room, and/or fold out a small couch into additional sleeping space. The two beds are great for adults - couch is perfect for a child. The room will sleep a family of three comfortably. This suite has its own heating and air conditioning unit so you can set the temperature to your own liking. A (very) large closet offers storage, a mini-fridge, coffee maker, and of course, a place to hang clothes.
Guests have access to our dining room, kitchen, and living room. Also there is a exercise room in the basement with ping pong table. We also offer access to laundry. We are currently remodeling part of our home, and expanding the kitchen, which means part of the house is less than pristine, but this is on the other end of the house from the guest suite, so no worries. Kitchen is still fully functioning (though small - can't wait until we finish the remodel!)

We are located close to Aberdeen Proving Ground, therefore we offer government per diem rates for government employees and contractors. Just contact us for additional details.
We have two very friendly dogs! They are gentle around children and trustworthy. One is an giant elderly border collie and the other is a young Sheltie. Sweet and friendly, they will make your stay more pleasant and enjoyable. However, they bark occasionally and have been known to shed. By default, we keep them out of the Guest Suite (unless you specifically invite them in!), but they do have the run of the rest of the house. Clothing rollers provided at no extra charge. ; )
We love our home and want you to enjoy your stay. That said, mutual respect is our only house rule. That and, don't burn down the house.
My name is Joan and I am one-half of a fun-loving couple who loves to meet new people from around the world. We love it here in northern Maryland because we are so close to some of the most amazing cities in the world -- Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Baltimore, Annapolis, and New York, and so close to beaches along the Atlantic, mountain ski resorts, and the beautiful Chesapeake Bay. Our house is located in a small town with a whole lot of character on its own -- close to restaurants, shopping, parks. Both Jeff and I work as management consultants and in our downtime, we are pursuing our favorite pastimes: watching birds and other wildlife feed in our backyard, drinking wine, reading books, listening to great new music, cooking up a storm, going on hikes, playing Cards Against Humanity, kissing our dogs, playing tennis, going to Zumba classes, and/or growing heirloom tomatoes. We have a couple of kids who visit from time to time and two "fur-kids" who live with us. We love it here, and we will do everything we can to make sure you do too!
