Normandy (this part at least, ) is not just any part of France. It has its own unique character, and history, and for obvious reasons, American and English people are always welcome. We are not forgetful people here.
When you come to our area, you will love the sea, the food, the landscapes, the people, and the history of it.
We are sorry, but this is a non-smoking home. Apart from that, we do believe that we can rely on our guests good manners, to make their stay an enjoyable experience, for both them and us.
We might accept animals, depending on what sort it is. We have a nice black 8 year-old Labrador, called Billy, who will love you instantly.
I was born a Norman, in Lisieux (Calvados), but I grew up in Ethiopia (17 years) where my parents were working. I am now a retired teacher, and I spend my time renovating my old farm-house, but also travelling all over the world: the USA, Africa, China, and of course Europe.
I think I am a sociable person, I enjoy meeting new people, talking about our mutual experiences with my guests, I also like good wine and good food.
As a native of Normandy, I think that the Cotentin Peninsula, referred to as " this country like an island" (Victor Hugo), is one of the most beautiful parts of France.
One important detail: my delicious partner is English, and we like hosting people with that specific Franco-British warmth and good humour.
My moto:" you want to be successful? Well move your a...."
