Please feel free to make us aware of any special needs and to join us occasionally and spontaneously in preparing shared dinners. At other times, we may want to eat on our own, and do not mean to exclude you, but only have a need to circle our wagons as a family. There are several dining tables in the house. We only ask that you do not bring more than light snacks into your room.

If you are traveling with a pet, please let us know. We need to know if your creature is compatible with ours and we do charge an additional $15 per day per pet. For dogs, this gives you access to a private indoor/outdoor fenced kennel right next to where our dog hangs out during the day.

We are an easy-going couple still working, but Scott is nearing retirement and is looking forward to taking care of our 21 acres full time, as well as doing more fishing. He is a salesman in the automotive industry who builds bamboo fly fishing rods. I am a design sales rep working at Santa Fe by Design, who has had a long career in building, design and the arts. I love hiking, swimming, yoga, and art and am involved in various design and community pursuits on our property and in the area. Our younger son is a student at the University of New Mexico, and an aspiring large animal veterinarian. Our older son is a sculptor, blacksmith and architectural ironworker. They visit from time to time but Scott and I hold down the fort, so to speak. We share our house with Bella and Bodhi, feline and canine, and they love our guests without being over-bearing.
We spend a lot of time taking care of our land and also enjoy cooking, gardening, yoga, hiking, cross-country and telemark skiing, the arts, good friendships and all the cultural and culinary opportunities in this area. We are happy to help get you acquainted with all that northern New Mexico has to offer, even some activities which are not readily accessible to most tourists. Yoga studios and hot springs, no problem, foodie interests, we have you covered, the arts in all its local iterations, hiking and biking destinations...even fly fishing pursuits can be supported during your stay. And we are happy to give you a tour of our riverfront property and either explain or demonstrate irrigation practices that date from the time of the Spanish settlement and introduce you to our horse and cows. This is an authentic northern New Mexico home in a historic community...a friendly glimpse into all our area has to offer. Please feel welcome!
