This light and spacious apartment, with wi-fi, wood stove and off-road parking is the perfect base to relax and explore Dartmoor and South Devon.
Great location for walking on the moor or coast path and for river swimming or beaches.
This spacious ground floor apartment in The Old Vicarage, Buckfastleigh offers a perfect base to explore Dartmoor, the River Dart, the South Hams and the beautiful coast of South Devon.
The flat consists of a shared entrance hall leading into a large, sunny living room overlooking the garden, with TV and wood burning stove. A big, bright, well-equipped kitchen / dining room.
A double bedroom (off the kitchen) and a cozy single bedroom (off the living room.)
A travel cot is also available for smaller children.
The bedrooms are not next to each other so it's useful to bring a baby monitor if you have young children.
The bathroom is up stairs, above the single bedroom. There is a second WC in the entrance hall.
Central heating, TV, dishwasher, wi-fi & off-road parking.
The owners live next door in the main part of the house and know the area well. Guests are welcome to share the use of the garden, there is a pond so smaller children need supervising.
The house style is homely and comfortable rather than ‘chic’ and will suit those who value a relaxed and informal setting. It is only suitable for people who can use stairs (no disabled access).

I am a retired management consultant formerly working in adult social care & housing. My partner is Dutch and is a community midwife.
We have lived in this area for a long time so we know some special places to recommend - like favourite river swimming spots and good beaches for evening sun, places to spot seals and good places to eat and drink.
When we have days off we often either head up onto the moor or down to the coast. Buckfastleigh is very well placed to go either way, or to get quickly down to Cornwall on the A38.
Our house gets morning and evening sun and is on a hillside facing south east looking across the rooftops of the town. There are most things you need locally - a little supermarket which stays open late every day, a pharmacy, newsagent, wholefood store and two farm shops within 10 mins drive.
