Up to five adults can be comfortably accommodated and travel facilities are available for infants. The main bed is a Super King which can be split into two singles, if required. The L shaped sofa in the open plan living area is extremely comfortable and easily converts to a generous double bed. There is also a single chair bed. A shoji privacy screen is available for guests that are sleeping in the living room , if required. It can also be used in the bedroom to create two seperate sleeping areas when the beds are made up as singles.
The appartment is very well equipped for self-catering with a modern kitchen that includes an electric hob and oven, microwave, fridge freezer, basic condiments, kettle, toaster, coffee making machine and tea/coffee. There is a breakfast bar with seating for three people and a gateleg dining table that can seat up to four people. There is a large flat screen TV with a full digital service from Virgin Media and a 240 MGB broadband service. A selection of DVD's are also available.
The appartment is located in a bungalow in a very quiet residential area with a quaint stone bridge and stream directly outside, surrounded by beautiful mature trees. The entrance to the beautiful parklands of Castletown Estate is at the top of the Main Street with wonderful walks, tours and concerts to include in your stay . Castletown is Ireland's largest and earliest Palladian style house. Built between 1722 and 1729 for William Conolly, Speaker of the Irish House of Commons and the wealthiest commoner in Ireland. The façade was almost certainly designed by the Italian architect, Alessandro Galilei, while the Irish architect Sir Edward Lovett Pearce added the wings.
Celbridge is also located on the historical path named "Arthur’s Way". Arthur's way is a 17km heritage trail that follows in the footsteps of Arthur Guinness from where he brewed his first pint of Guinness to his grave.
