“The Knoll-Willows Open Space is a 20-acre natural park located to the north of (above and behind) the Estes Park town hall and library complex. The open space has no admission fee and is a nice place for a picnic. There are great views of Lake Estes and the entire town of Estes Park and its surrounding distant mountains. It is an easy walk from the parking lot to the ruins of a stone bungalow that burned in 1907. The north trailhead and parking area is just south of East Wonderview Avenue between the entrance to the Stanley Historic District and MacGregor Avenue. ”

“I (Sara) love to kayak. Because the convience allows me to get my boat on the water several times a week, you will often find me paddeling lake Estes. At the marina you can rent kayaks, pedal boats, canoes, bikes, fishing equipment, and pontoon boats. You can't go wrong spending a few hours on a mountain lake. If you have never kayaked, it is much easier then you might think. ”
