We had a wonderful weekend at Melanie & Tyler's Mountain Cabin. Their property is surrounded by beautiful farms and rolling hills. It was the perfect weekend getaway! I just want to mention two things to those reading the reviews: 1. The path to the cabin may be difficult to access in bad weather/winter months. There is a parking lot that you can use and walk up to the cabin, but if you have luggage, coolers, etc. it may be a little inconvenient. 2. There were several cow pies surrounding the cabin, so bring boots! This wouldn't have been much of an issue if we hadn't had our dog with us - it was difficult to walk him in some areas around the cabin. But otherwise, it was an awesome experience! We would definitely stay with them again someday!

Booked the cabin for only two nights, but wished we'd stayed a week. The farm is beautiful, the cabin cozy, and the hosts were friendly and helpful suggesting things to do in the area. Driving through the surrounding farmlands at dusk was enough to make the stay worth it. There's also a great breakfast spot in Fairfield.

The cabin was perfect for an overnight in the beautiful woods of Franklin County. Though we spent less than 24 hours at the farm, the cabin had everything we would have needed for a longer stay. Waking up to birds and cool, clean air was a delight. Melanie gave us helpful information and made us feel at home. We would have stayed longer if we could!

This place is paradise! Everything you need and nothing more. The cabin is super private, tucked back into the woods and surrounded by hills and cow fields. We arrived just in time to unpack and wander the property with a glass of wine and watch the sunset over the Adirondacks. After cooking dinner on the gas stove we walked down to the pond to watch the stars, listen to the crickets and bullfrogs sing, and take some deep breaths of the fresh air. The bed was super comfortable and we slept like baby's, 10 hours on the first night! A morning dip in the pond was perfect, refreshing but not too cold, and such amazing views. We cannot wait to come back again!

Vermont is stunningly beautiful. The property was breathtaking and had a wonderful rustic charm to it. Melanie and Tyler were so welcoming and kind. We hadn't really brought much food with us, but were able to purchase delicious beef steaks from them at a fair price. We really had a wonderful stay in the cabin! Thanks Melanie and Tyler!

The stony pond farm mountain cabin is just amazing! I honestly don't even know where to start! I've stayed in many cabins, and I have to say, this one was probably my favorite! If you're looking for somewhere quiet, super comfy and secluded, this is your place! Melanie & Tyler have fully equipped the cabin with everything you could possibly need. The cabin was extremely clean and the bed was super comfy! The views surrounding the cabin are beautiful and it's just a short walk down to the pond, which was just fantastic to swim in. The air is just so fresh, and the stars at night are gorgeous. I was able to meet Melanie, Tyler and their two adorable kiddos, and they were all such a pleasure to speak with. Both Melanie and Tyler were extremely responsive with any questions I had. But, honestly, they both felt like friends by the time we left, which is always the best feeling! We took some time to explore the land, and, just wow! I'm so happy we decided to stay at the stony pond farm mountain cabin, and will be back again! 100% recommended! (Oh, we also bought some delicious beef from Melanie and she offered us some fresh grown kale, which were both delicious!)

Melanie and Tyler are stewards of the land, raising grass-fed organic cows and grass-stained organic children in their idyllic setting. They put the same care and attention into their AirBnB which helps to support their hundreds of acres that feed their cows. We had the sense of doing a service to keeping the land in pristine condition with our stay. But beyond that, the cabin is outrageously fun. It's a tiny rustic house, tucked into trees. The king-sized bed is on the loft, with a window at the head. Downstairs is an open space, with a table for two, a stove, and wide windows to the outdoors. If you're looking for white-sheets and polished chrome - keep looking. This is for people who love the earth and all the colors that come with it. Call it Glam-Camping, or Tiny-House living, staying here a few days was great practice for lightening our planetary footprint. All the while, reminding us viscerally how very worthy this planet is. We had a tangerine full moon, fireflies exploding like fireworks, and the wide starry sky. And in the day, the pond to swim in, set like a jewel among all those grassy fields, surrounded by the blue Green Mountains in the distance.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Stony Pond Farm. The cabin was quiet and private. We loved wandering around expoloring the farm, swimming in the pond in the morning, and all of Tyler's excellent suggestions for where to eat and what to do--especially in the Eastern Townships. We would not have explored them had he not recommended it! Also, thoughtful tocuhes in the cabin like tea and coffee were lovely as well.

Dara & Ric were such amazing hosts. Everything I needed was provided, and more. The eclectic steampunk decor was all nicely done and gave the space a charming dramatic feel. Wow, what a breakfast! Dara is such an amazing cook. Everything she made I instantly loved. If I'm ever in that area again I will definitely make a return visit. I would wholeheartedly recommend Dara & Ric's place to anyone passing through the St Albans area.

We had a great stay at Dara and Ric's. They are gracious hosts and their location is very convenient to downtown St Albans and to the train station. They had good suggestions for things to do and places to eat. Dara is an excellent cook. The room is spacious with a comfortable bed. The bathroom is in the common space just next to the kitchen.

Dara was a great host. We had a warm welcome from her and her 3 dogs! The space is very welcoming and cozy -- two adjoining queen sized bedrooms on the 3rd floor of the building. Across the hall is the living room, kitchen, and bath. Dara has a great French country decorating style! She treated us to a delicious breakfast, with veggies from her garden, before we hit the road. Located right in the heart of St. Albans, with plenty of street parking right outside the door. Would definitely stay here again if in town.

Dara and Ric were perfect hosts and made me feel very welcome in their home. Even my canine copilot was taken into the "the pack" of family dogs...like she had always been there! Their home has been beautifully renovated in a vintage/modern style, and they make their guests' comfort first priority. The town is lovely, with several good options for eating, strolling or recreation....and well located for leaf peepers too! The most extraordinary and unexpected part of my stay however, was Dara's breakfast- with veggies, herbs and flowers all straight out of her garden (it's Mid October!). I'm rarely a breakfast eater, but if she offers....I suggest you let her cook!!! As for me, I will be looking for an excuse to find my way back to St Albans for sure!!

The apartment was fine, but the sheets did not seem clean, I found many hairs in it. It was also very difficult to find the house in the dark since the house number could not be seen from the street at night and no pictures are shown in the listing. The fact that the owner was away and that I didn't have a number to call to ask for directions did not help.

Overall, the stay was great! Connie and her husband left us local apples, cider, cheese and more which were all amazing. The place itself was nice and located within walking distance of downtown Saint Albans. The only frustrating part of our experience is that Connie and her husband asked us to change our apartment location a few weeks before our weekend (which we did). Then less than a week before our visit they asked us to change the weekend we were visiting to one week later. They ended up resolving whatever was going on and we were able to come the weekend we originally scheduled.

The entire experience was wonderful. Connie and her husband Peter are the perfect hosts. The apartment was better than expected, nicely furnished and appointed. I highly recommend them.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The house was exactly as it appeared in pictures - spacious, beautiful, clean, and had eveything we needed. The location and views were breathtaking. If you are looking for a country Vermont getaway, this is definitely the place. Melanie was more than helpful and communicative with anything we needed. We would love to go back again.

Melanie and Tyler are truly the best of the best Airbnb hosts. Aside from the beautiful property and a warm, welcoming atmosphere, they provided fantastic recommendations for things to do during the week we spent with them and offered a full tour of their dairy farm, answering all of our questions about how the farm works. We comfortably slept 5 (including a 1 yr old) in the Pond house, which offers a fully equipped kitchen, plenty of (relatively baby friendly) space, and a fantastic view of Mt Mansfield. I wish we could have stayed longer! The listing is a great representation of what you'll find when you arrive, and if anything, it under promises and over delivers.

There are few places in this world that truly render me silent. But walking into the Pond House, I was swept away by a feeling of sanctity, beauty and absolute peace. Even imagining it with a half-dozen kids dashing through the yard, it would still emanate calm grace. The architecture of this old house opens out like arms, embracing the meadow that dives down between mantles of woods to layers of blue Green Mountains in the distance. When we were there, the full moon rose orange and mysterious through the pines, and fireflies burst all through the fields. Inside is sweet, with wide pine floors and comfy furniture. The one shower is by the door - perfect for rinsing off after an active outdoor day. Upstairs is a claw-foot tub, a child's bubble-bath heaven. The beds are comfortable, and the house lets a wonderful cross-draft freshen the night air. The kitchen is well-supplied with equipment, and the long rustic table will welcome a full group. Even though the house can hold a large family, my husband and I enjoied being there just the two of us. It is so far away from anywhere, so pure and dark and magically beautiful, it was the absolute perfect romantic getaway. And aside from all that, I totally love that my money goes towards making their life possible, stewarding the land, raising organic grass-fed cows. It takes a lot of grass to feed a herd, and the Air BnB helps to make it sustainable.

House was beautiful, cozy, clean, and in a great spot. Even on short notice, Melanie welcomed us, and was super-friendly and helpful.

Such an amazing place! The house was much better than we expected. It's a lot of space! We even had an extra room for Grandma. So comfortable and clean with a great view off the back porch. It even has a pond with a dock and frogs and a turtle that may or may not have been an attack turtle. Highlight of the trip for sure. Melanie and Tyler are the best. They took the time to show us the cows and tell us all we wanted to know about them. One day is not nearly enough and we have to find a way to get back out there someday. Oh, also the night view is great! The kids saw more stars than ever and with an app on our phones we were able to learn what a lot of them were, all while a nearby owl serenaded us. This is a great place, thanks for the hospitality Melanie and Tyler!

Melanie and Tyler were the best hosts! They were welcoming, communicative, and kind. When my family left, we felt like we were saying goodbye to old friends. That is because we kept seeking them out. They were so fun and interesting to talk to. However, they were very respectful of our privacy. Our children also loved playing with their adorable children who tell little secrets of the farm like where red chicken hangs out. The Pond house was perfect for our group and had everything that we needed for our stay. Sitting on the porch, looking out on the cows and mountains was a fantastic way to start each morning. Swimming in their spring fed pond was such a treat. Two times a day our children would marvel at the beautiful cows as they were herded to the barn from one of the many pastures for milking. Andrew, their other farmer, even let my 11 year old milk a cow and my 2 year old niece feed a calf. Our fairly well travelled children all said "It was the best vacation ever!" We have already booked it again for later in the summer and can't wait to book it in the winter to ski at Jay Peak! As if I haven't raved enough, I must add that if you are a meat eater, you can even buy grass fed beef and veal on the premises!

Such a beautiful place. We celebreated my partners 30th birthday and had a great time. Melanie and Tyler were amazing hosts. We ordered 8lbs of ribeyes for the party and they were delicious. We will be sure to return.

Melanie and Tyler were great and very welcoming when I arrived. The house is really cute and sits away from their house so it has a lot of privacy. It was very peaceful to be around the cows grazing in the the fields that surround the house. There is a pond for swimming although It was to cold for me to use during my stay. The house has the normal amenities not to sparse and not to fancy, so it is a great place for families that don't want to spend a lot of money at fancier places. They are very generous with showing the farm and how the cows get milked and open to suggestions about making their place comfortable for visitors. I plan to stay here again on my next visit to the area.

I had a fantastic time in Vermont during my stay with Dale and Darcy. The house was clean and welcoming and situated in a beautiful setting. I immediately felt comfortable in the home and really enjoyed chatting with Darcy. I left Vermont very early on Monday morning and Darcy insisted on getting up to make me a cup of coffee and chat before I left. I would definitely stay with them again. The hosts were fantastic! They instantly made us feel at home and welcome. They were there when we needed them and were very understanding when we came home later than we expected due to car troubles. They cooked us a great breakfast each morning and provided us with fruit from their garden as well. We would definitely stay again and recommend them to anyone who wants a true Vermont house experience! Although we did not get to use the hot tub, it was also offered for us to use! We really felt like we got the Vermont experience. I highly recommend staying here!

Elaine is such a wonderful host. She welcomed us as we got at St. Albans after a long drive from Boston. We loved the apartment offered by Elaine. She owns a vintage shop and the apartment is truly a work of art. So many unique items, tons of cheerful color, very roomy and someplace you may just want to hang out all day. I wish we could have stayed longer but we only had a night. She was incredibly generous with amenities, water, beer, coffee, bagels. All kinds of great goodies. The apartment looks out on a picturesque New England Square and the neighborhood was really lovely, clean, landscaped and gorgeous. It is about 20 miles from Burlington but worth the drive. Elaine's appartment is perfect for a quiet weekend with your special one or your family. Elaine thought about everything for our comfort. We recommend this place!

Elaine is the Airbnb hostess you dream of; friendly and accommodating. Her space has a very classy vintage feel and is located in the heart of St. Alban's Main Street business district with food and shopping within walking distance. There was also a convenient space to park our car.

This was, by far, the homiest and well stocked camp we have stayed in to date. The owners thought of everything! There was tons of space and we had a great time having a little Easter egg hunt with our 3 year old. Having the row boat was also a great addition and enabled us to be able to enjoy the pond. LOVED that there were several options for a fire. It rained the majority of time we were here, but we still enjoyed smores with the sun porch fireplace! Thank you again for your hospitality and letting us check in early so we could enjoy the entire day :)

Steve and Lisa's cottage is a wonderful, quiet getaway. It's well appointed with everything you need to come in, relax, cook tasty meals, and soak in a nice hot tub under the stars. Tucked away in a little nook of forest near a large pond (more like a small lake!) you have all you need to relax and forget about the stress of the world you left behind, even if just for a few days. It sleeps up to 6 but is small enough that it didn't feel too big for the 2 of us and our small dogs. The kitchen had everything we needed and there are plenty of towels and extra blankets. Make note of the instructions- there is absolutely NO cell service there, but they offer the use of a landline. I didn't mind one bit. Its rustic, charming, and relaxing. Recommended for couples and families alike.

We had an excellent week-end in this cottage, there are many outdoor activities to do : bbq, spa, campfire in the garden and in front of the lake, kayak, pedalo, etc. There are also several hiking trails close to the cottage (as Smuggler's Notch). We didn't have the chance to meet Steve and Lisa, but they were always available to answer to our questions before and during our stay.

We loved staying and Steve and Lisa's place it's so private and the cottage had all we could have asked for and more. Just a short drive to the city for food and fun but nestled away in a beautiful secluded location

Our experience here was above and beyond what we expected! The hosts were incredibly welcoming, the scenery was gorgeous, and the inn was perfection. We would definitely come back again!

Just back from a stay at Brian's condo at Smuggs - what a great time! The place was exactly as advertised - neat, cozy and comfortable. Everything worked well, and when there was a slight hiccup with demagnetized room keys, Brian was instantly reachable by mobile and got the problem sorted out within minutes! I can definitely recommend Brian as a great host, and I would definitely stay at his place again!

Even though we never got the chance to meet Brian, he was excellent at communicating how to get the keys to the apartment and recommended places to go in/around Smuggler's. We only were able to stay one night - but we will definitely be back! Brian's apartment was very clean, cozy, and the location is unbeatable.

Nice place! Sharon and Autumn were very welcoming and helpful. Not too far of a drive from Burlington. The place has a toaster oven with a small cooktop (no full stove or oven) so just plan accordingly. The beds were very comfortable and everything worked great!

Host was absolutely wonderful and so accommodating, we arrived two hours after their designated "check-in window" because we drove up from New York but someone was still up when we got there to show us around and hand the key off! Best things about this place are the heater which works great and keeps the unit toasty, the kitchenette which was well stocked for our needs, the super comfy bed and the smart tv which we could use to watch Netflix, amazon, HBO go and more!

maison de campagne sharons a été décidé la nuit avant checkin. Elle a été très rapide pour répondre à toutes nos questions et d'obtenir la maison prête pour un séjour. La maison était trop propre et la literie très confortable pour nous donner son sommeil dans la nuit froide. Nous avons adoré le charme et la sérénité de la nature qui entoure la maison de campagne. Un lieu de repos pour les amoureux de la nature. Un autre avantage est la proximité de cet endroit à récréations comme Smugglers Notch & Stowe région. Vraiment une maison loin de la maison.
