“Great walking trail especially in the winter. Summer months can be buggy so be sure to bring your repellant. We also love to ride our bikes up here from the cottage and do a loop or 2 around the large trails. Nice shady trails. ”

National Park
“This national park protects aquamarine waters, emerald islands, and fish-bejeweled coral reefs. Here too is evidence of 10,000 years of human history, from pirates and shipwrecks to pineapple farmers and presidents. Outdoors enthusiasts can boat, snorkel, camp, watch wildlife…or simply relax in a rocking chair gazing out over the bay.”

“ Take a trip out to the Dry Tortugas National Park to see the natural beauty and splendor of the Keys and its history. Fort Jefferson was built on Garden Key in 1846 to protect the United States from exposure of the trade route along the Gulf of Mexico. These historic Keys are about 70 miles off of Key West and can be accessed by private vessel, Charter Ferry-The Yankee Freedom, and Seaplane. You will experience and unforgettable look at the history of the keys, a pristine key in its natural state, abundant native wildlife, and a relaxing day surrounded by the crystal clear waters of the sea. Whether you take a history tour, snorkel amongst the thriving reefs, or lounge on the soft sandy beaches, you will have a wonderful day filled with breathtaking views of these unspoiled remote Keys.”

“This is my favorite little beach in the Upper Keys. It's great for doing some some bathing, going for a swim, taking the kids, or even firing up the grill. There's a parking fee when you drive through the main entrance, but it's worth it because it is a lovely park. There's also a community swimming pool if you prefer.”
