We're so glad we found this place! The cottage is clean, really cute, and well-appointed with lots of amenities: comfy bed, kitchenette with mini fridge/freezer and microwave, bathroom with lots of shelf storage space, TV with local channels and DVD/VCR (plus lots of Disney movies!), wifi, etc. We were traveling with a baby and Amy let us borrow a pack-n-play, which was a great help. The neighborhood is in a great location--quiet and tucked away just off of the 25A. Port Jefferson is a cute town maybe 15-20 minutes away, with a brewery ($10 to taste every beer on tap!), good restaurants (we liked Slurp Ramen) and some nice shops. It's not far to the LIRR either, which makes a trip into NYC easy and convenient.

Matt, Amy and their two adorable children were wonderful hosts and provided us many local suggestions on food and wine! The Cottage was easy to find, in a quiet and safe neighborhood and provided my mom and I easy access to all of the wineries on Long Island. Matt and Amy were even kind enough to let my Mom and I check-in much earlier than the standard time as we had arrived early that morning on a redeye flight. The Cottage had a comfortable bed, well equipped kitchenette and bathroom including air conditioning and a fan! We were able to enjoy the beautiful backyard, while still having our own privacy. Highly recommend staying here.

Louise Heim war wunderschön und der perfekte Ort für einen Rückzug auf Long Island. Obwohl es in einem Wohnviertel und grenzt an ein anderes Haus, es fühlte sich immer noch wegen der Art, die Haus und Hof eingerichtet sind privat. We booked Louise's waterfront home in Sound Beach, LI for the Christmas holiday week and the property far exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend booking with Louise in the future. The home was absolutely perfect and beautifully renovated. The kitchen was fully stocked for our elaborate holiday cooking, and all of our needs were taken care of. Louise made sure that there was a highchair for our littlest daughter, a pack-and-play, and a doll-house and games for our older daughter. There were snacks and other necessities waiting for us when we arrived, also. On a personal note, Louise is just a wonderful person. She is warm and friendly and made us feel very comfortable and welcome. The beautiful views of the sound and the private beach made our holiday even more magical than we could have imagined. We would love to see it in the summer! The house is cozy, but there was more than enough room for 4 adults and 2 kids.

We had a wonderful stay in this new, immaculately clean and comfortable home. Louise was a terrific host who thought of every detail and even left snacks for us - above and beyond! The stay was everything and pleasant! While Jasna was away during the weekend, her parents showed us the warmest hospitality. The neighborhood was nice and safe. The room and house were clean and comfortable. We couldn't have asked more of a relaxing space to come back to during our short getaways in Long Island.

Wow, Michele's home exceeded all my expectations. The place was very clean and well equipped. The pull out sofa was very comfy. The television is a perfect size. Towels, bar soap, bottled water, fresh sheets and blankets were provided. The bathroom is huge! Michele provided cleaning products such as Lysol wipes and spray. I really appreciate the privacy as well. The separate hallway and room made it very comfortable. Breakfast every morning was delicious, it was something different every time! And most importantly, Michele was an excellent host. She was very attentive to my needs and never hesitated to reach out to me. Her responses to all my messages were very professional, detailed and within minutes. Michele really makes sure that you have everything you need. I had a great experience, I highly recommend Michele's home!

Beautiful, cozy home right on the Long Island Sound. Quiet neighborhood, incredible morning and evening views from the dining area. Great to wake up to with a cup of coffee, or to end the day with a glass of wine. So incredibly relaxing with a short drive to Pt. Jefferson. Louise left some wonderful breakfast treats and a nice bottle of wine as well. Great host and amazing home! Look forward to staying there again.

We had a great time at Angie's Sound Beach House! Plenty of room and two kitchens! The way the house is set up gives privacy and quiet for those who may want to split off and take a nap or just get away from the group and have a little relaxation and silence in the 2nd living room overlooking the water. House was clean and bigger than we expected. Many grocery stores and restaurants not far away. Angie was awesome! One of our kids left a cell phone there and Angie offered to mail it back no questions asked. We had a great time and hope to stay again at Angie's home.

The view is great. Neighborhood peaceful and quiet. Nature abounds. A lot of bird life. Beds were very comfortable. Host was very responsive to our needs.

This place is a gem; close to stony brook and long island wine country. The hosts were extremely friendly and accommodated our needs. If you're a group of 2-3 this is the perfect place to enjoy some R&R.

Great place to stay! One of the best Airbnbs I have been too. Alex was very accommodating and provided everything, including towels, parking, wifi and even snacks. Cable and internet both work great, and parking was very easy. The space is clean and comfortable, including a nice kitchen with everything we needed for cooking and such. The apartment is a good size, including a table & couch in the living space. All together a great deal, I will plan to stay again the next time I am in Long Island.

A fantastic house, very comfortable and quiet. The location is excellent and you can get down onto the beach in a matter of minutes. Hot tub was great and whilst we didn't kayak, they are available at the house which is an added bonus. Not sure what this area is like in height of summer, but was perfect for a long weekend in May (think deserted beach, we saw no more than 10 people on the beach in 3 days).

This house is absolutley beautiful! Thellivingspace is ample, the outdoor space is priceless. The house is just a stones throw from a private beach. The amenities made our stay extremely comfortable. This is the kind of beach house you arrive to and never want or need to leave! A definite gem!

Nice flat! Ideal for Millennials who need a place to sleep while they hang out on the beach. Reminded my wife and I of our first apartment. Clean, efficient, small, but with plenty of outside, garden space. Owner's right about the steps and they may be a problem for folks with bad knees. Beach access also includes many steps. Quiet, friendly neighborhood, but you are sharing the building with another full time occupant, and you will hear him moving about. However, nothing unacceptable.

John was a very and flexible host. Due to our flight we arrived very late at night but was not a problem. He arranged for us to get the key, and left the lights on, so we could easily find the place. The flat looked as described. The beach is just a short walk away. We liked it very much.

John's house was located on a very interesting property, with various slopes, paths and many beautiful trees, plants and flowers. I have never seen a place like that on Long Island. It was around the corner from a gorgeous beach, the apartment was spotless and the WiFi was good. The only down side was the bed, which was a bit too springy for our liking, so it wasn't as comfortable as others we have slept in. However, overall we had a good experience staying at John's, and we would recommend his place as a unique weekend getaway!

We had an amazing visit to Rocky Point staying in John's lovely apartment. Clean and well furnished as described. Perfect location: minutes walk to the beach; bikes, flowers and cats around. Friendly and helpful neighbors. I had text John several times with some questions and he was very responsive. The description is very accurate for this apartment and the hospitality is great. Inside the apartment there were little things such as lotions, soaps, and toothpastes. The cabinets had glasses, forks, and knives. Everything was very neat and Jim communicated with us whenever we had a question. Entering is very straightforward and the place is well worth the price. Hij wil proberen om ons de schuld voor brandplekken van sigaretten in zijn verdieping, die er al waren, en wil om ons te laten betalen? NOOIT. Niet hier blijven! Zoek een andere locatie en plaats, er is geen wifi of zelfs mobiele receptie! Host is belachelijk en zullen proberen om u oplichterij! Oke huis, maar de gastheer is te veel, en geeft je niet behandelen als een respectabele gast. Het beste is om ergens anders te vinden met een gerenommeerde gastheer!

Nice house, good location and lots to do around the area. Patty was very welcoming and gave us lots of good info. House was smaller than we anticipated, and there was limited storage space, especially in the kitchen. Not a problem for us for a weekend, but it could be a consideration if you were planning a longer stay and wanted to cook your own meals.

We vonden een mooie, oude en waardig huis waar we waren de eerste gasten bij gelegenheid van een multi-generatie vakantie voor een West coast - Oost-kust split familie. Ik zal een eerlijke en oprechte eerste review voor beide partijen, de eigenaar en ook de toekomstige gasten profiteren geven en ik hoop dat het zal worden begrepen in deze geest. Kortom we brachten een zeer gelukkige week in Center Moriches en ik geef de plek een thumbs-up. +: Echt geweldige locatie direct aan het water, mooie rustige wijk, comfortabele buitenruimte, het is een ruime woning met veel bedden, een functionele keuken, een mooie gescreend serre met een prachtig uitzicht over de glinsterende baai. We zwommen, lounged, nam de kajaks aan het water, genoten van de zithoek, gekookt, at, dronk en bbq-ed: zeer aangenaam. Het was duidelijk dat de eigenaren zorg veel over deze eerbiedwaardige huis en we behandeld met het respect dat het verdient. Mariah is een competente en ontvankelijke gastheer. De fles wijn, de "hello nota" evenals kaas en crackers als een welkome was een mooi gebaar, dank je! -: Sommige dingen zouden moeten worden verbeterd voor mij om dit huis weer te huren in het huidige tempo, we voelden, minstens zo gepresenteerd, dat de prijs was een beetje aan de hoge kant. Ik hoop dat de eigenaar pro-actief en remedie onderstaande gemakkelijk Muur items zijn, hun resolutie zal de waarde van een vakantie in dit huis te verbeteren en maken het tot een echte vondst voor een gezin zoals wij. Dit lijkt een fout in (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps, maar er is een manier om het probleem te verhelpen: punch in 9-cijferige postcode en het toont juiste locatie ... 2. buiten gas grill, hoewel onberispelijk schoon, is versleten en moet worden vervangen! Ontsteking werkt niet en de gasleidingen zijn verdeeld en gebroken en gas komt onregelmatig. Borderline onveilig. 3. We had a family gathering at this wonderful, comfortable house. There was plenty of space for our group of nine. The house faces the water and everything about it is set up to maximize a great time at the beach. Some of our favorite things here included the large and airy screened in porch with cushioned furniture that faced the bay; the patio with table and umbrella where we ate dinner each night as the moon rose over the water; the large well equipped kitchen; the outdoor shower with mint growing at the edges (there are regular indoor showers as well but this outside shower experience is not to be missed!); the sandy beach with lounge chairs and umbrellas; kayaking on the bay; the large dining room table and the comfortable living room; and the quiet nights with just the fans blowing the sea breezes through and the sound of crickets and tree frogs. We hope to return to this lovely place again someday!

This home was clean, spacious, and comfortable. We never had to feel like we were walking on eggshells while we were there. Abundant sleeping space, a well-stocked kitchen area with everything we needed, a handwritten note along with wine and some snacks greeted us at the start of our stay. Simply put, it was more than what we expected for the price that we paid. The home itself is filled with family memories, which only enhanced the happiness that we felt while staying there. And that view! Unbelievable to wake every morning to the sun rising over the water. In short, we hope to return there in the future. Our hosts were gracious, and our family enjoyed every minute.
