A spacious and relaxing home nestled in the small country town of Minnipa. The house is fully equipped suitable for both short and longer stays. Explore the Gawler Ranges National Park along with the natural attractions in the district. Children and pets can safely meander outside on either the front or back lawns both securely fenced.

Granite Domes is a spacious 3 bedroom house. The home provides a lounge and separate kitchen/dining area. The two queen bedrooms are spacious and airy whilst the single bedroom is cosy. The property has been furnished with a minimalistic view. Ceiling fans are fitted to all rooms except the single bedroom.
A small supply of consumables are provided to get you started. Items include, laundry washing powder, toilet paper, tomato sauce, salt, pepper, paper towel, cling wrap, alfoil, coffee, tea, milk and hand soap.
Pegs and an indoor cloths stand are located in the laundry.
During winter we will provide a small quantity of wood for the fireplace. A fireguard can be found in the laundry. Further wood can be purchased for a small fee.
The back and front yard offers lawn and two fenced locations for pets with ample shade. The back yard fencing is approximately 1500mm high whilst the front mesh fence is 900mm high.
An outdoor table and chairs are located under the rear verandah.
A coffee pod machine is also available for use with a small quantity of pods provided.
The large carport easily accommodates a 4WD. Additional parking albeit not undercover, is available through the back gates.
The entire home is supplied by collected rain water. This water is suitable for drinking.
Granite Domes is nestled in the small town of Minnipa.
Minnipa is located on Highway 1 on the central upper Eyre Peninsula. To the east is Adelaide 600km, Port Augusta 292km and Wudinna 34km. West is Ceduna 186km and Eucla on the WA border is 676km. From the south is Port Lincoln only 247km.
Local natural wonders include Tcharkuldu Hill just 3.77 km north of Minnipa and Pildappa Rock, 15km north east.
These two amazing granite outcrops offer fun exploration for all ages.
Tcharkuldu Hill offers both intriguing granite domes and significant local history including the old shepherds hut. Kangaroos can be seen grazing on the rock and flats at dawn and dusk. Tadpoles play in the many water holes during winter.
Pildappa Rock is the longest and highest rock wave formation on the Eyre Peninsula, spanning over 100 metres. With breathtaking panoramic views at both locations they are a must to visit.
On the drive to Pildappa Rock you will pass the Minnipa Agricultural Centre, an important research farm for dry land farming systems. Pop into reception if you have any questions.
The Gawler Ranges National Park is also at our back door. Approximately 40 minutes by car, depending on seasonal conditions, you will find yourself at the entrance of this vast national park. Walk the path to the renowned Organ Pipes. Visit the stunning rocky outcrops at Yandinga Falls and Kolay Mirica Falls. During your visit keep your eye out for the Yellow-footed Rock Wallaby. Kangaroos graze in great numbers on the flats and can be seen camping under trees. Buildings and structures pertaining to the pastoral days can been visited with ease.
In the main street of Minnipa you will find the Minnipa Store and Minnipa Hotel. The small store provides basic essentials, newspaper, fuel, Australia Post services and meals both eat in or or take away. The community second hand Book Shop is also located in the store and offers an array of cheap literature. The store is open from 9am to 2pm Monday to Friday.
Due to COVID 19 restrictions the Minnipa Hotel is currently closed. We hope it will be open soon to provide you a nice cold beverage, a warm spot by the wood fire in winter and meals. Take away pizza is also available along with a bottle shop. If planning to dine at the pub, bookings will be required.
Playgrounds can be found in the main street and at War Memorial Oval at the end of Thomas Street. The oval also provides a great space for your pooch.
During the month of December through to the end of March, the community swimming pool is available for visitors. The facility rules of operation can be read at the entrance to the pool facility. We can answer any questions you may have about the pool so please don't hesitate to contact us.
Consumables can be purchased in Wudinna either at the Foodland supermarket, butcher or bakery. If travelling from the west, Ceduna is well serviced in this area.
