We love Matteo’s bakery, now widely spread all over Bologna. He uses high quality local materials, mother yeast (called Gina) and makes delicious bread. We love his bread made with an antique variety flour, and crackers full of seeds!

We love this restaurant in an ex monastery. The fresh pasta is all home made. I love tortelli di caproni (fresh goat cheese stuffed pasta, on beet sauce and pistachio), tagliatelle ai funghi porcini (when in season) for primo, and super crispy fried fish) for secondo, with grilled veggie as side dish. Yummy!

Angela makes excellent crescentoni (traditional fried bread). It is served with fresh cheese, cold cuts and pickled vegetables. There are not many restaurants that serve this traditional plate and she makes it special making a huge piece (crescentone) rather than the usual size (crescentini). Also her fresh pasta plates are great!
