A fantastic place for mucking around on the river. You can hire boats, kayaks, paddle boards etc. There is a large car park and cafe/bar on site and they have some yummy pop up food stalls on several nights of the week during the spring/summer months. You can also take your bikes and cycle along the tow path.

A fantastic place for mucking around on the river. You can hire boats, kayaks, paddle boards etc. There is a large car park and cafe/bar on site and they have some yummy pop up food stalls on several nights of the week during the spring/summer months. You can also take your bikes and cycle along the tow path.
Pop down to north Newton and hop on the tow path for a wonderful cycle along the canal. Past the locks and cafes along the road and pop in for refreshments at the Boat and Anchor. Nice easy ride for children and not too far.
