About an hours drive from the house but really spectacular, you can also book a boat trip, the cliffs are something else from the sea.ttps://sliabhleagueboattrips.com

Muckross head. You'll find this little penninsula 2km from Kilcar village and 10 km from the fishing town of Killybegs. You can either drive onto the penninsula, park up for a bit and head for a ramble along the sand or you can admire the beach from above. If you fancy seeing it from above there's a little bit of space to pull in along the Towney road. Just ensure you pull in safely and that you don't obstruct the road.

Glenveagh is well worth a visit, it will take appx an hour to get to from the cottage but it's well worth a visit. There is a really scenic and easily walkable road from the car park to the castle. There are tearooms and a great viewing point beyond( definitely a climb). The surrounding area is well worth exploring also. Gartan, Glebe house etc.
