Bike Rides
Fun outdoor activities to do while here in CB
Lupine is a blast! Note that it is rated as an intermediate ride with the elevation gain being 888 ft and the ride itself being 7 miles. Though, the ride may be 7 miles long from 48 Cinnamon Mountain Rd. It is closer to 8 or 9 miles considering that you can’t park at the beginning. The ride is short but there is a significant amount of ascent, with there being a decent climb that requires you to pace yourself. There is also some incredible down hilling. Finally, there are gorgeous views of the slate river and the mountains.

Judd Falls/Copper Creek Trailhead
8000 Co Rd 317Scarp Ridge is a stunning hike that is fairly moderate. Just note that the altitude gain is no joke and if you live around sea level or even higher, so if you need to catch your breath - you’re not alone! In general this hike a great thing to do but in order to get to the trail head there is a pretty rough road - one that might require a tough vehicle that isn’t low to the ground. Bring water!!!!

Lake Erwin is incredible!!! Take a paddle board or two and float around! But paddle boarding isn’t the only activity, you can fish, hike, or just sit - everything you do is enjoyable! There’s also bald eagle who lives there so keep your eyes out for a white dot.

Lake Irwin Campground

Long lake is a perfect lake to go to if you’re trying to get out for half an hour. There’s a steep hike that is very short that you take in order to get to it, but once your there, enjoy the beautiful ( but cold ) green lake.

The Slate River can be home to all sorts of fun, and virtually whatever you choose to do, you’ll leave with a smile on your face. You could skip rocks, sit by the river, or go for a quick dip in a deep spot, as long as you are thoughtful and leave your spot exactly like you found it. Our favorite spots are Gunsight Bridge - which has many different spots within a 300 yard radius. We also enjoy Obe Be Joyful or River Flats Campground.
