When Shem Adams moved out of Philly to Connecticut, he missed his proper Philly steak sandwiches so much that he decided that he had to make them himself. He opened a small, unpretentious shop in Norwich and started churning out such amazing concoctions that his Phillys were declared the best sandwiches in the country several years in a row. The Doctor is just one of his designer cheesesteak options: Minced, all-star rib eye steak, chopped Spanish onions, and All-American Cheese Whiz in a Philly roll. They also serve great hoagies, fries, and snacks.

After the falls, the Yantic River runs through a narrow, beautiful gorge before ending with a descent into a large pool. Above the falls, there is a pedestrian bridge and a railroad bridge.
