This place has everything right!!! Great service, fantastic food, and dessert was excellent. The ambiance was delightful, and the dinner in the lighted greenhouse is magical. It also has a fantastic selection of items for both your garden and home. The plants they offer are of excellent quality and number in the hundreds of types and species. Everything from garden tools, to hats, boots, gloves & more can be found here. Non-garden related gifts for all are also nicely laid out throughout a few eclectic county like buildings making gift searching fun. You can also get seed and fertilizer here. Parking is free.

Du Pont built a personal collection of seashells, birds and bird eggs. Even before getting a doctorate in natural science in 1965 and writing several books on birds, he became interested in developing a natural history museum. During and after graduate school, DuPont took part in several scientific expeditions to the South Pacific and the Philippines, and is credited with the discovery of two dozen subspecies of birds. At his request, his uncle Henry Francis du Pont provided land across from the Winterthur estate in the Brand
