Now in the old Primary Art Supply building (everything in Savannah used to be something else), Civvie's is an awesome little used, vintage and consignment clothing shop with a smattering of other interesting things. The downstairs is even an antique store!

Davis Produce is hard to miss on the side of Highway 80 right before the Tybee Causeway and it’s worth a stop. The best local produce and pickle selection around, they also have the best damn boiled peanuts in Savannah! No day on the water is complete without them.

Sightseeing
A breathtaking avenue sheltered by live oaks and Spanish moss leads to the tabby ruins of Wormsloe, the colonial estate of Noble Jones (1702-1775), one of the first settlers of Savannah in 1733. While not much is left, Wormsloe's tabby ruin is the oldest standing structure in Savannah. The real reason to go is the beautiful row of live oaks and the quaint community around it!

You'll see all sorts of wildlife including lots of alligators, great blue herons, and seasonal bird life. Spottings have also included bald eagles, bobcats, coyotes, gopher tortoises, and snakes!

A strange little road-side attraction right off of US Highway 17, the self proclaimed “Smallest Church in America” is open to the public 24 hours a day and is worth a quick stop for photos. The church itself has an interesting story too, but I won't spoil it for you!

The Hostel in the Forest is a strange hippie holdout in the middle of redneck country, but a great place to spend the night. Run since the seventies, the hostel is famous for its tree houses and its beautiful forests. Sitting on 133 acres of wilderness, there is also a beautiful lake where guests are encouraged to swim (clothes optional), but watch out for the fishies! Book ahead of time as the hostel stays full and look for scheduled sweat lodges and meditation retreats too.
