Polar Caves Park is a set of glacially-formed caves formed from granite boulders and are so named because the deepest cave is cold enough to allow snow to linger long into the summer.
The caves are a popular tourist destination. The cave park contains boardwalks, giant boulder gardens, and a small zoo, with deer, pheasants and other unusual game birds, as well as a mining game for children. A rock climbing wall for all ages has been added that takes advantage of the granite cliffs. The caves are well-marked and relatively easy to traverse using walkways and stairs.
