Amazing food and fantastic brunch menu! The hangover hash browns are a must (even if you just get them to share with the table). Very cool and eclectic restaurant!

Good old-fashion Mexican restaurant. This is our favorite Mexican restaurant, not only because its so close to our house but because the food is awesome. I would highly recommend the Coriqueso for an app!

Best sushi restaurant I've ever been to. This place is the real deal. If you love sushi, you will love this place. Younger kids would probably not like this restaurant.

The Gourmet Shop is one of my favorite lunch/brunch spots in Columbia. Their famous chicken salad is to-DIE-for! I also recommend the Mimosa kit for breakfast/brunch/lunch!

Food and drinks are great here. Younger bar scene at night with pool tables and a huge enclosed back patio area. Dogs are encouraged and will likely be running around freely! They even have "Yappy Hour" on Tuesdays and Thursday evenings which is definitely something to experience if you are a dog lover.

I may be biased because I grew up going here but this is my favorite zoo that I have ever been to. There is so much to see and it's the perfect size that you can see it all! Great for the entire family! Make sure you take the trolly up to the Botanical Gardens, they're stunning!

Call up Saluda Shoals Park and ask about their tubing rentals. You can tube the Saluda River and have a blast for super cheap. Also call Palmetto Outdoors for tubing, kayak and paddle boarding rates for a wet and wild adventure!

We actually come here all of the time to play putt-putt, ride go-carts or hit up the batting cages. There is a large arcade inside with laser tag and other fun stuff for kids but the out-door activities are great for any age, they even serve beer! Did I mention its less than a mile from our house?

My husband is a big golfer so I asked him for a few recommendations. I have actually been to this course before with him. I drove the cart and drank wine while he played. It was a good time and the course is cheap and in pretty decent shape.

We are so lucky that the Harbison State Forest is basically right across the street from our neighborhood. We take our dog, Goose, hiking on trails through the forest all the time. If you're feeling adventurous you can walk all the way down to the Broad River. I think its a 4 mile hike to the river and 4 miles back. Awesome bike trails too, if you brought your mountain bike!

The South Carolina State Museum is beautiful and worth checking out. They offer free guided and self guided tours Monday-Friday. Not sure if you can get inside on the weekends but the grounds are beautiful to check out any day of the week!
