Definitely a little pricey, but Husk is a fine representation of a southern comfort foodie restaurant. Expect to drop a little cash but your stomach will be very happy. Be sure to make a reservation at this place.

If you want a trendy brunch, this is it. Pinewood Social is not only a delicious restaurant, but also a bowling alley, a pool, and a social club of sorts. All set up in a former trolley barn. Worth checking out, to be sure.

Located right above The Patterson House, this place is supposed to be legit. We haven't been, because, well, it's expensive. Get a reservation a month or so ahead of time and wear loose-fitting clothing.

This is the spot that got East Nashville started. Experience Nashville's trendiest coffee spot! Especially great in warm weather when they open up the garage doors in this auto garage turned hipster hangout. One thing you don't find much of in Nashville is vegan food. This place is the tops in terms of that. It's a raw restaurant, so it's not for everyone, but their Avocado Margarita and desserts are some of the tastiest things we've found down here.

We hike in Percy Warner every week or so - we love it! The white trail is our normal trail - 2.5 miles, not too hard, and a great view. Highly recommended!

Just a quick drive (or bike ride) from home is Shelby Bottoms - a huge park with golf, frisbee golf, baseball fields, a nature center and a greenway all along the river that we often go for runs on. Really great place to unplug, sit and feed the ducks.

Amazing, amazing cocktails. The Maple Bourbon Old Fashioned is a can't miss. Kind of a hard spot to find - it's a speakeasy just upstairs from Catbird Seat. Very romantic - a great date spot!

Robert's is the greatest place to spend a (somewhat rowdy) night in Nashville. It's an old school honky-tonk on lower Broadway. There's no cover, PBR is $2.50 and there are incredible musicians playing country music covers all night. It's a blast (and the only honky-tonk any locals will go to)!

Ryman Auditorium is the mother church. One of the most storied venues in America, this is one of the greatest places I've ever seen live music (and I photograph music for a living). Definitely highly recommended - they do a backstage tour as well.

We're not huge baseball fans, but there's certainly something fun about going to a minor league game! This brand new ballpark has surprisingly great food and drinks, costs very little to get into and has a guitar shaped scoreboard!

Take an afternoon out of your schedule to visit and enjoy this climbing gym! I'm a member and spend time bouldering, but the top rope stuff is the best here. The east side location is a small bouldering room, but the west side is much bigger if you're into top-roping. You can get a daily pass that gets you into both!

We love this walk on a nice day. One end is right downtown, the other end is on the east side by the football stadium. We recommend getting a ride to the Titans parking lot and walking over. Great view of the city!

For whatever reason, Nashville has a full-scale replica of The Parthenon. It's kinda weird, but cool. It's right in the middle of Centennial Park, right near Vanderbilt.
