Right in the heart of Hither Green Village is this family run pizzeria with delicious food and even better service!
Don’t just have the pizza- their pasta and seafood are amazing, as are their salads. We end up here about once a week and have never been let down.

Not to it average kebab shop! This Mediterranean restaurant does everything well. Their service is impeccable and we leave every time feeling like family. Their food is delicious - they do standard rice and meat dishes, as well as awesome seafood, and hot and cold meze. They also do a lunch deal and children’s deal, and deliver! Recommend the lamb iskender, prawns, and babaghanush.

Our new local! A small, intimate, but friendly bar with a good beer and wine selection, a few cocktails, and coffees. They do food although we haven’t tried it yet- have heard good things! Run by the brother of the man who runs the Good Hope, both are community staples and favourite spots amongst locals.

Everyone loves this florist / bakery / tea room. Their pastries are to die for and their floral arrangements are simply stunning.

Beautiful little park with lovely duck pond, huge area to run around, nice family atmosphere, ice cream in the summer, basic cafe. Decent playground.

Just around the corner is this huge community park, with allotments, a sandpit, a huge and well appointed playground, and lots of space to have a picnic or a kick about. We go there a lot with our three year old and he never seems to tire of it.

A bit further afield but definitely worth a visit is greenwich Park, which is home to the Maritime Museum )greats kids play area inside), the GMT clock, and the observatory. It’s playground is immense and you could easily spend half a day in various areas there.

Within walking distance (about 30 minutes) is this quaint upmarket village with lots of shops, restaurants, cafes, and a beautiful green area. Some higher end stores as well as charity shops that stock designer goods. Market on Sundays.

A tourist hot spot, but worth a visit! Greenwich Village is gorgeous, with a daily market (food and wares), lots of shops, the Thames clipper, the Cutty Sark, tons of good cafes and restaurants, as well as the Maritime Museum, Greenwich University, the Royal Naval College, and more.
Greenwich picturehouse is also amazing if you want to go to an old fashioned British film- you can even get wine!

Hither Green Station
Is a 10 minute walk away, and takes you to Lewisham, Cannon St, London Bridge, Waterloo East, and Charing Cross stations (going into London) as well as a number of locations into Kent and Medway. Services are regular. You can always google “Hither Green Live Departures” for live service information. Not all platforms are wheelchair accessible.

Take you directly to Lewisham Town Centre and Lewisham station in about ten minutes. Wait at the stop in front of the dry cleaners on the corner of Lanier Road and HG. If coming home, get off at the Theodore Road Stop, just across from the Coop.

A ten minute walk away, from the bottom of Mount Pleasant Road. Busses to Bromley, Ikea, blackheath, Greenwich, beckenham, and many more areas run from here; have a look at TFL for more info.

About 10% is standard for a meal with table service. Some restaurants automatically charge service so make sure you aren’t paying twice! No need to tip in bars or cafes.

You will need a contactless card or an Oyster card to use any London Transport. Cash is not accepted. Tap in AND OUT on every train, overground, or DLR. Make sure you tap out as that’s how it knows how much to charge you. Buses only need you to tap in and charge only 1.50 for as many buses as you can take in one 90 minute journey.
