Also in this area you can enter Yellowstone National Park from the (much) less visited West side. Take a hike up to Bechler Falls, and see several waterfalls along the way. Fly fishing is also popular in this area. Beware of mosquitos in June, and carry bear spray while hiking. This is grizzly bear habitat.

One advantage here is that there is a roof over the large pool, so you can swim comfortably if it's raining outside.
