Close by hiking to Alpine Lakes, snow lingers into July for backcountry skiing. Can be a busy place during the peak season. I would also recommend just North where the Peter's Ridge trail head is located that will put you on the high peaks overlooking the valley.

Great day hike, steep trail but well worth the effort with fabulous valley views on the way up.

Close in, casual walk overlooking the swan river. Great place to head when you are downtown and need a quick nature fix. Also good little short cut for bikers headed out of town down the swan wanting to avoid the highway for just a bit longer.

Mountain biking. Head up the gated road on the left at the intersection of Strawberry Lake Road and Foothills Road. Many old roads and some fantastic single track to explore.

Dusty is a friend and one of those good hearted guys you just enjoy hanging out with. He specializes in catching large lake trout on Flathead Lake. This is also a good way to get out on the water and get to know the lake better.
