Wine tasting on River Road is beautiful and fun! Hahn winery is my favorite. You'll see rolling hills, vineyards, farms, and wineries. There aren't any restaurants when you get far down the road, so I recommend packing a lunch or taking cheese and crackers with you.

Wine tasting on River Road is beautiful and fun! Hahn winery is my favorite. You'll see rolling hills, vineyards, farms, and wineries. There aren't any restaurants when you get far down the road, so I recommend packing a lunch or taking cheese and crackers with you.
Carmel Valley has great wine tasting. You can park your car and walk between the tasting rooms.

Whale watching! Sanctuary runs a smaller boat out of Moss Landing. It's a more environmentally friendly operation staffed with wonderful and helpful naturalists. I've seen so many whales and dolphins from their boat!

There's also an Elkhorn slough visitors center in the hills behind the slough. Some small hikes around the slough and a small visitors center that is good for children.
