Best part of living around La Costa if you like trail walks. It's about a 2.5 mile trail that winds around the lagoon. Very peaceful, shaded for most of it, and travels alongside the Aviara golf course.

If you're looking for a bit of a workout, run this one! Beautiful views from the top, and is about a 10 minute drive away. Lots of skilled mountain bikers also enjoy this challenging trail.

Closest hike to us, right off El Fuerte and between Babalonia and Corintia. 2.5 mi round trip, medium incline. You'll see mountain lion warnings and there are known sightings in box canyon. We frequent this one often and haven't seen anything other than birds and lizards.
