I LOVE Tex Tubbs... Can't get enough. The margaritas are fabulous and the tex mex food is fun and creative and delicious. Lots of vegetarian options - try the fried cauliflower taco:)

Super yummy Thai... One of my favorite winter restaurants... Try one of their noodle soups but be prepared to wait for a table on a weekend for sure!

A local favorite. The Harmony is the Schenk-Atwood neighborhood bar. Period. They have great music, great food (oddly enough), and the total feel of a place that is well loved and settled into the hood.

Walk to the gardens! They are free (the inside gardens do cost $1-2) and they are delightful! Make sure to see the Thai Pavillion... I think the only 1 in the US! One of the gems of Madison for sure!
