Considered one of the most scenic drives in the nation. Start in Trinidad and drive the Highway of Legends through the Sangre de Christo range next to the Spanish Peaks. Stop in Cuchara for lunch in a quaint mountain town, before continuing on to Walsenburg to take I-25 back south to Trinidad.
