Gorgeous and dilapidated, the historic 1879 building was recently purchased by the City of Leadville and will be undergoing an extensive rehabilitation. While the planning is underway, the opera house is already open most weekends with bands, opera, musical theater and comedy events. Tours are also available during the day, allowing visitors to see the performance space and all three floors of this aging grande dame of a building. Stand on the same stage as Oscar Wilde and Houdini.
