La Rumbla, the big sister of Slow Cuts. Great if you want more of a dine in experience with amazing flavours, good music and a great vibe. If you stay late enough in the weekend, you'll be in for a live DJ performance. The tables are moved aside and voila, there is the dance floor!

Mantra is the one and only Indian Restaurant in Arrowtown. Fortunately for us....it's a winner! The meals here are really tasty and the service impeccable. Takeaway or dine in.

As the sun sets you can choose from delicious, award-winning Japanese at the infamous Kobe Cuisine, or enjoy a more ambient and intimate affair at Millbrook's signature Millhouse Restaurant. Either dinner destination will leave your taste buds singing.

Chinese gold-miners flocked to this area and in 1874 there were 3,564 Chinese living in Otago. In Arrowtown, the Chinese were forced to live in huts along isolated gullies on the banks of Bush Creek at the edge of town. Many of the huts have been restored, offering visitors the chance to step back into that ‘golden’ era and see up-close the toil and modest living conditions of the ‘other half’ in this prosperous town.
Take a short walk around this partially restored and well interpreted Chinese settlement from the 1880s - kids will be fascinated with the old huts and what life was like.

2hr loop. An easy grade walk on a well formed track providing outstanding views of the lake and surrounding mountains. Comfortable walking shoes recommended. From your accommodation you can access the Lake Hayes walkway from the farm track off Threepwood Road. The track takes you over the farm and down a fairly steep 4wd road to the Southern side of the Threepwood Farm. Here you can directly access the Lake Hayes walkway.
The easier but longer option (add 1/2 hr) is to follow the QT Bike trail from Threepwood Road to Rutherford Road, where you can also directly access the walkway. Both options are very scenic, but the farm track gives you magnificent views of Remarkables and Lake Hayes.
