If driving, biking, or walking recommend the Rock Creek Park entrance down Harvard Street which is closest, and there is parking available. The main entrance is on the other side of the park accessible from Connecticut Ave. In the spring, summer, and early fall, the zoo and its animals are on full display. In the winter, the zoo is festooned with winter lights and becomes a seasonal draw for residents and tourists alike.
