Opened in 1924 and not changed since. Difficult to get in without forward booking but you'll not be disappointed, portions are big , seating is tight but packed with atmosphere.

Heading for Le Louvre? This cafe situated opposite the square has really nice views/great place to people watch. Waiters are probably the rudest in Paris and will try to sit you inside! Just say No!

Don't be lazy! Take the stairs entrance, its not that bad, less Chinese tourists, more rewarding + half the price of a lift ticket. From the 2nd floor everyone needs to take the lift to the top anyway
