It is an amazing beautiful place! And you can walk there from our house. There are great trails or you can drive. The views are amazing!!! There are great restaurants in the Presidio, as well as a great little place, the Warming Hut down at Chrissy Field. Recommend looking online at a map!

It is an amazing beautiful place! And you can walk there from our house. There are great trails or you can drive. The views are amazing!!! There are great restaurants in the Presidio, as well as a great little place, the Warming Hut down at Chrissy Field. Recommend looking online at a map!
Fantastic peaceful quiet walk along the very edge of the pacific ocean--up on the cliffs. Ends at the Cliff House.

Sightseeing
We love Golden Gate Park, not just for its beauty and nature, but for the museums and hidden jewels! Check on the Japanese tea garden or the Conservancy of Flowers. Walk around stow lake in the early morning. Its all lovely!!

This whole area is amazing. You can see the old Sutro Baths, walk on trails, eat at a fantastic diner there (long line) and look at the seals from the Clif House. Walk down to ocean beach and watch the surfers. Its great at all times of day!

Getting Around
Because parking is tight and tickets are pricey, we love to use the bus system. You can find schedules and routes at sfmta.com. The corner of Arguello and CA is the stop for the CA1 bus, which is great to get downtown, Union Square or China town.

There are historic buildings, great food and interesting shops. There is a fortune cookie store where you can watch people make the cookies and can eat them hot off the roller. Its awesome!
