Mountain Ash Cottage

The stone cottage which is over 250 years old has been recently renovated and retains its traditional style: stone and white-washed walls, inglenook fireplace with wood burning stove. There are also modern conveniences: heating, Wifi, TV with Netflix and fully equipped kitchen. Downstairs there is an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area with a vaulted ceiling and the bathroom. Upstairs is a cosy double bedroom. Outside guests have their own patio and garden area with seating

One of the oldest houses in the village, this picture perfect cottage provides an ideal base to relax or explore all that the area has to offer. There is a choice of small beaches a stones throw away and spectacular views of the ever changing Atlantic ocean from Baltimore’s famous Beacon only a short walk away. The other direction brings you to the square where there is a choice of pubs and restaurants, whale watching trips and ferries to the islands of Sherkin and Cape Clear.

And with your own waterfall right beside the house, you can enjoy the peace and tranquillity it brings. A 5 minute walk down the mountain brings you to a roadside beach where you can watch the sun go down. Whether its a romantic getaway or a few days of mindfulness, you won't be disappointed.

Tigín Lisheen is a stone cottage nestled on our organic vegetable farm by Roaringwater Bay in the heart of beautiful West Cork. Trag Retreat is a lovely self catering holiday cottage is completely private with a private Hot Tub in the rear garden which has sea views. The large patio and the elevated hot tub maximise the stunning views. A complete renovation of the cottage was undertaken to the highest of specifications while still retaining the original character of the premises.
