The historic North Idaho Inn is located in the heart of beautiful downtown Coeur d’Alene. All the rooms have been remodeled with modern upgrades and charming decor while providing an exceptionally clean and comfortable space. We are located within walking distance to restaurants, shopping and local attractions. Each room is furnished with a memory foam mattress and a private bath. Room 7 is our only room offering a clawfoot bathtub (NO SHOWER). This stay will bring you back in time while still having a clean and thoughtful design to the room.

Note: we share a driveway with clothing optional community. After entering our gate, you have a 60 second drive where you may see nudity.

Eight Mile Room

The Historic Northern Hotel is the oldest hostelry in northern Idaho. Located on Priest Lake in Coolin, Idaho, the two-story log hotel was built in 1900 by Walt Williams, an employee of the Great Northern Railroad. One of a number of lodges created to attract more passengers to the rail line, the Historic Northern Hotel is the only one that remains from the early days of Idaho statehood when mining, timber, and tourism businesses were beginning to develop around Priest Lake.

Come relax in a hidden hideaway, 10 miles from the Palouse Divide Mountain Range. Enjoy the sunset from the patio after enjoying an outdoor BBQ, followed by a rousing game of horseshoes. ATV access and walking trails just minutes away. Basketball court on site for the kids. Hunters, be on the mountain in minutes. We have places to hang your game for processing. There is also room for a couple of RV’s. No hookups available, but there are outside water spickets on site.

Convenient location, near downtown festivities and close to the freeway entrance for quick access to all the mountain, skiing, lake, river, and hiking CDA and the surrounding areas have to offer! This room has a queen bed and futon, So this can comfortably sleep 4. Great home base for all your Coeur d'Alene adventures.
