A calm, deeply luxurious space to recharge & reconnect. The Shippon is a meticulously converted cow barn with heated, polished concrete floors, gently curving deep green walls, hand-built kitchen, warmly lit reading nooks, & natural materials. Woollen blankets, feather sofa, antique Scandinavian log burner, king-size bed with French linen & down, waterfall shower, & the softest towels. Our sleepy Devon hamlet is only lit by stars at night. Overlooking the millpool at Stoke Gabriel leading into the River Dart. Set in South Down woods, very peaceful but within walking distance of lovely village of Stoke Gabriel with shop, 2 pubs & cafe. Parking for 2 cars, 25 steps to property from car park. Close to Torbay beaches, River Dart, Totnes, the South Hams villages & Dartmoor, my place is good for couples & families. Kayaks can be hired in Stoke Gabriel e.g. to canoe down to Agatha Christie's Greenway or the pub at Tuckenhay.

Rose Cottage

Rose Cottage is a delightful country cottage in the beautiful village of Stoke Gabriel. It is situated a 2 minute stroll, past a pub, a church and through a community Orchard to the waterfront of the Dart Estuary. There you can find a wildlife haven for numerous waterfowl with sightings of Kingfishers, Ospreys and seals. It is the quintessential English country cottage with a small courtyard garden, exposed oak beams and a wood burning stove. It is the perfect place to relax and unwind.
