No running water inside, 5gallon jug provided. (No AC/full power without generator. Bring your own or rent one for a small fee)

Our cabin is only 3 miles from Hanging Rock State Park, voted by USA Today as one of the “20 Stunning State Parks Across the USA.” The Dan River (walking distance) is home to kayaking, tubing, fishing, and white-water; and Pilot Mountain State Park is just 20 miles away!

The Rock Retreat

This beautiful log cabin, previously known as Indian Creek Cabin, has been an important part of the Hanging Rock Community for many years. It began as the Hanging Rock Outdoor Center. The property is adjacent to the Indian Creek Trail area. It is within a few miles of the Lower Cascade Falls, Dan River, Moore's Spring bike trails, and of course, Hanging Rock State Park. Adventure awaits with ziplining, kayaking, canoeing, and river tubing excursions within minutes of the front door.

This unique property is a rustic cabin with modern amenities--created from an 1880's tobacco barn. Relax with your coffee in one of the rocking chairs on the porch, or overlooking the property on the spacious deck. This property includes 16 acres with hiking trails that lead to a 1/2 acre pond. Fish the pond and have a picnic in the peaceful setting. You are close to many outdoor recreation areas including Pilot Mountain and Hanging Rock State Parks and the Dan River.

Enjoy natural pleasures that accompany this thoughtfully handmade 2 bedroom, 2 bath cabin with spacious floor plan. Just built log home is wheelchair accessible with porch and deck views of Sauratown and Hanging Rock Mountain. Dogs are welcome and there is NO PET FEE! We have seasonal berries and a well-stocked fishing pond. Visit the state parks then come home to catch a breeze on the porch swing, watch fireflies or roast hotdogs at the fire pit.

The Cabin- The Hot Tub is Ready! Get Cozy Time!

Super cozy cabin located on our private property. This cabin has all the amenities of home in approx. 400 sf with an amazing amount of storage. It has a full bath and kitchen. The sofa folds out to a queen size sleeper with a 4 inch topper. There is a comfy floor mattress for additional quests (max 2). The space is totally adequate for 2 but could fit 4. We are pet friendly, but we ask that you notify us of your fur travel companions.
