This is a big stately home in the middle of London. In the winter it has an ice rink in the gardens, but in the summer its a great place to get a drink in a beautiful outdoor setting. Not a cheap place for a drink, but a very beautiful location.

Somerset House is a large Neoclassical building situated on the south side of the Strand in central London, England, overlooking the River Thames, just east of Waterloo Bridge. Within the elegant 18th century walls of this former tax office, there are 3 attractions, The Court auld Gallery. Impressionist Art Gilbert Collections Hermitage Rooms There are also the Exclusive Admiralty Restaurant, riverside café and the ever popular winter ice rink.

Interesting exhibitions and a beautiful building with nice cafes and restaurants - woth checking whats showing beforehand. Also a ice rink in winter.

A really beautiful building and art gallery with views over The Thames and not so obviously on the tourist trail. Great choice of eating too from fabulous cafes to top restaurants.
