The best access point to the park is undoubtedly via Sjenica to the south as that gains you access to the tightest and most scenic of the meanders of the Uvac river. If you're looking to do this visit completely independently then good luck. Pre nego što je postala važan prirodni kompleks i žiža interesa za domaćeg putnika, reka Uvac je bila poznata po lepoti kanjona s dubokim rečnim koritom i očaravajućem labirintu meandra koji su klešući zidove krečnjaka na pojedinim mestima, stvorili krivine od 270 stepeni. Reka koja izvire na jugoistočnoj strani planine Jadovnik i stvara prirodnu granicu između Zlatibora i Zlatara glavna je pritoka reke Lim. Pri kraju svog toka, Uvac postaje prirodna granica između Srbije i Bosne.
