Antony Gormleys Angel of the North stands 20 meters high just of the A1 welcoming visitors as they enter the city of Newcastle and Gateshead. You can pull up beside the Angel and walk to the sculpture. There is no fee for visiting the site.

Everyone who comes to Gateshead must visit her! Not far from the Hotel at all. A short walk will take you along to Durham Road where all buses heading South will take you along towards the Angel.

The Angel of the North is a contemporary sculpture, designed by Antony Gormley, located in Gateshead. It is a steel sculpture of an angel, 20 metres tall, with wings measuring 54 metres across.
