Built in 1948, the Callicoon Theater has become a go-to for the locals on a night out. The programming is a fun mix of new releases, cinema classics, local film festivals, cult film throwbacks and live music events. This single screen movie theater was once a chain of such theaters located throughout Sullivan County but is now the only one still in operation. Since 1946, the Callicoon Theater has played the best in first-run movies and independent film, one title at a time.
