My guesthouse is a few blocks from the Arcata plaza, restaurants and dining, family-friendly activities, art and culture. It is a 10 minute drive to beaches, 20 minute drive to scenic Trinidad and you can walk or bike to the marsh. You’ll love my place because it is near the heart of Arcata. Everything is at your fingertips. A couple blocks off the plaza means you will get the access without all the noise; a great combo. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and families with kids.

Blue Lake Sanctuary

Surrounded by pastures, it's a short walk to the Mad River for swims and walks. The Mad River Brewery is less than a mile up the road. Excellent mountain biking is 1 mile away. In a 15 minute drive you can find the hip town of Arcata, surrounded by redwoods and hiking as well as a majestic coastline. Sundays 10 am to noon we host a family friendly ecstatic dance in the studio adjacent to the apartment. Expect music at that time. Come join us! Public Yoga classes are Tuesday & Saturday am.

Located in an upscale quiet neighborhood in the hills above Arcata, near extensive redwood hiking trails. Unwind in our sheltered outdoor living room, with a fire pit by the pond. Welcome to The Wind and Tide where forest meets sea. Our newly remodeled home is situated on three acres of forested cliffside overlooking the Pacific, just north of the seaside village of Trinidad. Tranquility awaits as you take a dip in the hot tub and relax by the fire pit, soaking up the sounds of sea lions, the views of migrating whales, and sunsets and stargazing galore. Tide-pooling, agate hunting, and exploring Sue-Meg State Park is just a short drive down the road.

Wake up to the redwoods, head into town to enjoy a cappuccino at a local coffee shop, located only 15 minutes away from the Arcata Plaza, come back to enjoy a dip in the hot tub, then get a goodnights rest on our memory foam mattress, 100% cotton sheets and memory foam pillows. 2nd set of sheets & pillows will only be included for 3+ guests! 4/20 friendly :) Property is shared with our main cabin. NO FIRES ALLOWED - anyone who breaks this rule will be fined $300.

Come to the cool coast to enjoy this separate, private space. Check yourself in whenever you like via your own entrance. Vaulted ceilings, a romantic gas fireplace, remote work desk with strong wi-f and a kitchen. Your private yard includes a hot tub and lovely landscaping. From here you can easily access the redwoods, the beach or town - create your own colorful Humboldt experience.

Whether you’re adventuring or just passing through, this charming retreat has everything you need. Nestled on a quiet country road, it feels far from town yet is only 4 easy miles from Arcata—home of Cal Poly Humboldt—and 6 miles from Eureka. The clean, freshly decorated space features a queen-sized bed and a full-size futon-style couch, both reported to be very comfortable!

Hot Tub Hide-Away in Freshwater

The Hot Tub sits in a gorgeous and totally private meadow, surrounded by the redwood forest. There is an outdoor BBQ and fire ring. The location conveniently located 15 minutes from Arcata or Eureka. There is the convenient Three-Corners Market, about a 5 minute drive. We take special Covid-19 Cleaning precautions, following the Airbnb Sanitation Handbook.
