The Beach Hut Whiritoa

Our beach bach (kiwi slang for "holiday house") is all about kicking back. Nestled only 300m walk from the pristine shoreline of Whiritoa Beach, our tranquil beach hut (a large Queen studio space equipped for 2 adults) invites you to escape. Take a long soak in the wood-fired hot tub after spending the day exploring the beach. (PLEASE NOTE that the hot tub is not available between 25th Dec to 7th Jan) down the end of a long, quiet driveway. Come and experience this special part of New Zealand.

Waikaukau Farms Overlooking Whangamata

Sunny bright and airy with doors opening onto a small deck. 2 minute walk from the stunning white sands of Whiritoa beach and 10mins to the local cafe/convenience store. A 10min drive will have you in Whangamata where there are plenty of restaurants and holiday shopping. 15mins in the other direction to the mining town of Waihi. 2 night minimum stay 😊

Enjoy everything a summer in Whangamata offers while retreating to this elevated peaceful home looking out over greenery to the golf course in the distance. Soak in the spa to warm up after a day in the surf or take a dip before bed to look up at the stars. Relax on the deck for dinners outside or drinks on the patio out front.

Nautilus House

Welcome to Nautilus House, our beautiful family beach house across the road from the beach. Watch the sunrise & sunset while you enjoy dinner & drinks on the deck in our quiet cul de sac. Walk down to the ocean for a swim in the lagoon or sea. Walk over the hill to secluded beaches and rock pools at Waimama Bay. In winter snuggle up next to the warm gas fire & play board games or cards. Nautilus house was built for our beloved parents in 1979 for their family to enjoy.

You're spoilt for choice with excellent dining options 10-20 minutes away and Waihi Beach just a 25-minute drive, indulge in relaxation. Explore Karangahake Gorge walkways 5 minutes down the road. Return to bask in peaceful ambiance, whether in the outdoor bath, on the deck, by the fire, or stargazing from the hammock. It's a special retreat to recharge, create lasting memories, and really relax.

Whiritoa is a small village on the Coromandel Peninsular. The area is beautiful with bush walks, the sea (great for swimming or surfing), a lagoon which is great for the kids. Our Bach is spacious and can comfortably accommodate 10 people over 5 bedrooms. A great kitchen, two bathrooms, Deck and Lounge with TV, Internet and Chromecast - we have everything you need!
