The Griffin is a functioning riverboat, driven by paddle wheels, originally modeled after historic Mississippi steamboats. It is located at a mom and pop boat yard, which is quite different from a fancy marina. Work happens here. Metal is welded here. Engines are torn apart and put back together here. Drive by grazing cows and farm fields into the woods, onto a private gravel road, and down a long winding wooded driveway to our lake retreat! We don’t recommend visiting in winter without 4 wheel drive! Pontoon boat rental is available as an add on! Pets welcome for a $90 fee.
