The Strawberry Box - luxury eco barn conversion

The Strawberry Box is a luxuriously converted old tractor barn located on our working strawberry farm in rural Suffolk. South facing with extensive views across the rolling countryside, it is self contained and private, perfect for a quiet relaxing holiday, a romantic break or a base for exploring the rich heritage and beautiful villages around us. There are good pubs within comfortable walking distance and footpaths and narrow lanes to explore close by - or just take a wander around the farm.

Shepard’s Hut in Small Orchard

This is a stand alone unit totally self contained with shower and toilet. Unlike garden rooms this unit has wheels and a tow bar. The (should I say) Shepherdess Hut as it was used by a small holder during lambing to be close to her flock. Not suitable for long stays. More details below in The Space. Our small orchard has 2 x cherry, plum, 3 x pear, 2 x apple, greengage, apricot, mulberry, medlar and olive. We also have two 2 x raspberry, loganberry, Japanese wine berry and our own hops

A dedicated labour of love rejuvenated this 1930s Art Deco utility building in a sublime and secluded rural setting. It is the ultimate Constable Country retreat nestled in a private wild water meadow next to the River Box that runs through the Dedham Vale. Originally built in 1938 as the village pumping station, it was fully restored and extended in 2005 to create an ethereal space with unrivalled connection to its stunning natural landscape thanks to extensive use of glass.

Cosy Corner of Historic Country House & Garden

The Fysh Bowl is a luxurious self-contained first floor apartment in our Georgian country house - Fysh House. Newly refurbished, it has been decorated to a high standard throughout. Located on the St Edmund way it is perfectly positioned to explore Suffolk gems such as Lavenham, Long Melford, Gainsborough’s House and Constable country. It is walking distance from the village of Bures with its two pubs, shop and café. Guests will have exclusive use of the walled rose garden.

The Cart Lodge - a rural country retreat.

Relax in this detached former cart lodge surrounded by beautiful countryside and located in the owners’ grounds in a great rural location. The Cart Lodge can accommodate up to 5 people, with the Master Bedroom having a King size bed and the second bedroom having a Queen size bed and single bed. We take the utmost care in cleaning the property including disinfecting frequently touched surfaces between reservations so that it is safe for our guests upon arrival.

Cosy barn in beautiful rural setting

Bradleys Barn is a converted stable situated on the farm which has been in our family for 120 years. It’s last inhabitants were Dapper, a Clydesdale and Prince, a Suffolk Punch, in the 1940s. We hope you enjoy your stay here and please explore our woodland walks looking out for buzzards, deer, brown hares and kites. We are located on the Essex Way as you will see on the map in the hallway. This is very good for walking and mountain biking.

Pond Cottage is a charming one-bedroom retreat nestled deep in the tranquil Essex countryside, offering the perfect escape for those seeking peace and quiet. Surrounded by beautiful walking trails, this recently refurbished cottage blends modern comforts with rustic charm. Just a 15-minute stroll away, you'll find the local pub, The Kings Arms, known for its excellent food, as well as The Barn Brasserie, offering additional dining options.

Gorgeous cottage set in Bures

Relax in our wonderful cottage and enjoy a glass in the garden that has been designed and created by Harry and David Rich (known as The Rich Brothers from Garden Rescue on the BBC). The cottage has parking for two cars and is located in the centre of Bures Village, a short stroll away from the train station, two public houses, local shop, church and park. Not far away you will find the famous Bures Dragon and Chapel of Stephen.
