Away from the hustle and bustle, this peaceful spot has unrivalled far reaching views of the peaks and your own bench outside to enjoy them, or the stars! The cottage has a private and safe south facing fully enclosed garden with BBQ and outdoor garden furniture. Hartington itself is a popular pretty village boasting some 3 pubs 3 cafes, post office , Deli Stores and News agents and of course our very own famous Cheese shop not to missed Walking and cycling can be done from the front door

3 Cottages + Playbarn in the Peak District

Our site has 3 cottages nestled in the Peak District. Hall Farm is on the outskirts of Wetton village which has a pub and tea room. Thor’s cave is 15 minute walk away and the villages of Hartington, Alstonefield and Ilam are all within 10 minutes. We are close to many attractions inc Alton Towers, Peak Wildlife, Dovedale and Chatsworth. Our cottages are well stocked, have 2 bedrooms and sleep between 3-5 people. Our site has a playbarn (Gamesroom), play area, hens, BBQ and large garden.

Pretty Victorian riverside cottage, Alstonefield

Dove Cottage is a former Victorian fishing lodge in a unique setting on the banks of the river Dove. It is situated 3/4 mile from the pretty village of Alstonefield and 5 1/2 miles north of the bustling market town of Ashbourne. The cottage overlooks a tranquil stretch of river running through Wolfscote Dale and a historic former water mill. A riverside footpath passes the bottom of the garden leading north along the river to Hartington and south to Dovedale and the Stepping Stones.

Hawthorne Cottage is a lovely recently refurbished limestone cottage in the glorious Derbyshire Peak District just steps away from Hartington village centre and its 2 friendly pubs, a perfect place for a relaxing break or for the more energetic there’s great walks (dogs welcome!) and cycling trails on the doorstep. We have the great advantage of 2 PARKING SPACES and a lock up for cycles. The terraced gardens afford views over the village and surrounding hills beyond.
