The property is located down a quiet cul de sac in the village of kilronan, less then 15 min walk from the ferry terminal. Family friendly with a wonderful park only steps away. We offer four tastefully decorated bedrooms with three ensuite washrooms, a main washroom, lounge area and a fully equipped kitchen including a washer, dryer. 13th Century Lakeside Castle, 6 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 10-12) Surrounded by seven acres of lawns, park and woodland, Carraigin Castle is an idyllic holiday home in a beautiful setting on the shores of Lough Corrib. From the Castle one can enjoy boating and fishing, walking, riding and sightseeing, or just relax by the open hearth and contemplate the simple grandeur of this ancient dwelling, a rare and beautiful example of a fortified, medieval “hall house”.

Ballindooley Castle

The Castle rests on about half an acre of land with Ballindooley Lake lying to the south west. It is surrounded by low walls and hedges: with a gated entrance controlled by an electronic security system. Features include 3 murders holes and a dungeon The castle was built by the DeBurgo family (approximately 1480). It had the distinction of being shelled by the British Gunboat ” Helga” during the1916 Rising to disband rebels
